This bracelet is made from tooth like tagua beads for a unique offering to your customers. Each bead is made from organic tagua with a touch of the woody natural effect left with the beads for a completely natural look. This bracelet has not been dyed, the white is the original color of the tagua. The bracelet is strung together on sturdy jewelry elastic for a comfortable and flexible fit for your customers.
Tagua is gathered from the Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador in a sustainable way. Tagua palms grow as a part of the rainforest. Large pods form on the palms and eventually drop to the jungle floor where they are retrieved by local workers. The pods are left to dry in the sun then cracked open to extract the tagua nuts. This type of sustainable and valued use of products from the rainforest helps to ensure that it will not be cut down for farming or mining purposes.
Sustainability is when the functions and processes of an ecosystem can be maintained (or sustained) while meeting the needs of the present and without compromising the needs of future generations.
This handmade piece carries a price which reflects its real value in terms of labor and overhead more truly than a factory made piece which carries the same price.
