This high quality beaded necklace will delight your customers with its vibrant red beads and elegant black knotting. Originating in the jungles of the Amazon rainforest, the red tagua beads are lightly dyed so as to show off a light touch of their origin. The tagua nuts for this necklace have been thinly sliced lengthwise. Artisans often take advantage of the outer shell to create unique beads that retain an element of their organic heritage, as in this necklace.
While the necklace looks significant, it is lightweight, sturdy and exceptionally well made. Your customers will enjoy years of comfortable wear.
By purchasing with us, you are encouraging the development of the economy in areas of the world that often struggle. In Ecuador, many of the indigenous people struggle to find meaningful work as they have often had a very limited education. To obtain this necklace, we work with a local women’s cooperative, where the women have joined together in self-expression and creativity, with a goal of lifting their families out of the poverty they face. Your customers will be inspired by the beauty and story of this piece.
